Welocme to Uncle Pete Jazz. If you'd like to find out more, or have us play for you, hello. Well, we're having fun!

to everyone who likes jazzy sounds

Hi Jazz fans, We're Uncle Pete. That's Pete McQuaid and Sean McBride.

We've known each other for maybe 25 years, and every so often play in the same band or project. The last one before this may have been playing rock n roll at the Cork jazz festival. In Cork.

Pete McQuaid has been playing in Bristol since 1958 ,and has played jazz, country, show music, Irish music, rock 'n' roll...

Sean McBride has been in Bristol since 1981, and has also played all kinds of stuff. And rock n roll...

In Uncle Pete, we play some nice jazz and Latin tunes in an easy going manner...nothing too heavy, but with hopefully lots of room to apply some of the artistry and skill we have picked up over the years. We hang out and make music anyway, but for both of us part of the process always is to be working musicians. It pays the bills and gives a purpose to the music.

What we have to offer is hopefully a lot of skill on our instruments playing jazz standards, some taste, and a desire to make it worth your time to hire us.

Pete plays guitars, and Sean blows alto and soprano saxes. Nothing too loud, unlike some of the hooligan music from yesteryear, but we try to sound good, and we would like you to hear us too.

What we're looking for:
As a jazz duo, we can play at your reception, wedding party, restaurant, event, etc.

What we have to offer:
This outfit is really for the background ambience/mood type thing, though we hope with enough good playing that real listeners would enjoy too! If you need, we do actually have friends, and can also come out as a 5-piece, with drums, bass and keyboards. Normally we work with electric guitar and acoustic saxes.
